This time the supernova went off in galaxy NGC 3144 and it was first time observed 4/5.11.2008 in THO by Veli-Pekka Hentunen and Markku Nissinen. Arto Oksanen made the verification observation in Hankasalmi Observatory. This supernova got a name SN2008gx and it had a brightness of 16.8R magnitudes when discovered. The IAU made a CBET circular about the discovery (CBET 1561).
