Despite the unstable weather forecasts, a partial solar eclipse was observed in the Taurus Hill Observatory area on Tuesday, October 25.

A partial solar eclipse was also observed this time in Taurus Hill Observatory with a solar telescope. The purpose was to make a time-lapse video like last time, but variable fog and cloudiness covered e.g. the deepest stage. A few images were still obtained, attached photo is a color image created from Lunt’s H-alpha data. The sun had beautiful bursts of flares, some of which can also be seen in this picture. Perhaps the tallest flares of all were covered by the eclipse here.
