HAT-P-21b was clearly observed at Taurus Hill Observatory.
HAT-P-21b was clearly observed at Taurus Hill Observatory 6./7.3.2011. This so called Hot Jupiter orbits once in 4.12 days a G3 type of star that is same size than our Sun. The distnce of the object form the Earth is about 830 light years. The duration of the transit was 250.6 minutes and the depth […]
Some photos about the Graz exoplanet workshop in our gallery.
Taurus Hill Obsevatory research team members Tuomo Salmi and Harri Haukka participated to the “1st Europlanet Workshop on Coordinated Observations of Exoplanets from Ground and Space” that was held January 29-30, 2011 in Graz, Austria. The workshop was very interesting and there were a lot of discussions about possible projects. The results of the workshop […]
The transit of the WASP-13b was observed at Taurus Hill Observatory 17./18.2.2011.
WASP-13b is located 509 light years from the Earth in Lynx constellation. The object is discovered year 2008 by superWASP. The transit of the WASP-13b was observed at Taurus Hill Observatory 17./18.2.2011. The duration of the transit, according the measurements, was 247.1 minutes and the dimmening 11.9 mmag. Gamma ray burst GRB110213A observed also at Taurus Hill Observatory.
Gamma ray burst GRB110213A was observed with Taurus Hill Observatory equipment 13.2.2011. At the moment of the photographing the brightness of the GRB was CR ~19.1 magnitudes. The GCN 11717 was published about the THO observation. Observers: Markku Nissinen, Tuomo Salmi, Harri Vilokki and Veli-Pekka Hentunen.
GRB110213A observed by using the GRAS 011 remote telescope.
The after glow of the gamma ray burst GRB110213A was observed 13.2.2011 by using the GRAS 011 CDK20″ telescope. The brightness of the GRB was at the moment of the photographing 15.6 magnitudes. The red shift of the GRB was z ~1.46. Therefore the distance of the GRB was about 10.5 billion light years and […]
HAT-P-5b light curve measured at Taurus Hill Observatory.
Taurus Hill Observatory research team observed the transit of the exoplanet HAT-P-5b 9./10.2.2011 at Taurus Hill Observatory. The exoplanet is located about 1100 light years from the Earth in Lyra. The mother star is a G-type of star and the exoplanet so called Hot Jupiter that orbits very near the star. The dimmening that exoplanet […]
