Taurus Hill Observatory reacearh team made history again when the letter “A low-energy core-collapse supernova without a hydrogen envelope” was published in a well known Nature publication 4th of June. This is the second Nature letter where THO research team has participated. The full details of the article are below. A low-energy core-collapse supernova without […]
Despite the light sky the THO research team managed to take some CCD photographs. Messier 3 Messier 92 The supernova SN 2009bw, discovered at THO, was still visible with the CCD -camera. According the measuremets in had a brightness of 15.33R magnitudes.
The Finnish summer sky is near and photographing is getting more and more difficult each day. Here are some pictures from the 14.5.2009. Messier M13 Supernova SN 2008ip in galaxy NGC4846. The brightness is about (not measured) 19 magnitudes. Supernova SN 2009N is located in the galaxy NGC4487. Supernova 2009bw is still […]

Taurus Hill observatory research team photographed SN 2009W by using the Moorook GR15 telescope that is located in Australia. In addition the research team received nice pictures from the Erkki Kankare who is a researcher in Nordiv Optical Telescope in La Palma, In the NOT pictures there are lot of details visible including the spirals […]
