The supernova SN 2009bw that was discovered 27.3.2009 at Taurus Hill Onservatory has brightened up since the discovery. 1.4. it had a brightness of 14.7R measured with the photometric R -filter. Comet C/2009 E1 (Itagaki) is very difficult object to photograph due it is in very low altitude in the western sky just few moments after the sunset. The comet is also quite dim and it is visible only with the large telescopes. THO research team photographed the comet 26.3.2009. Observers: Veli-Pekka Hentunen and Markku Nissinen.

The gamma-ray burst GRB 090313 was observed by Markku Nissinen 13.3.2009 about one hour after the discovery of the GRB. Markku used the GRAS-04 telescope that is sited in Mayhill, NM, USA.
