Supernovae SN 2008ip, SN 2009N and SN 2009Q.
Taurus Hill Observatory research team photographed some supernovae 16./17.2.2009, including the SN 2009Q that was discovered at THO. The SN 2009Q, discovered 30.1.2009, is a type Ia supernova and it had a brightness of 16.2R magnitudes when photographed. Observers: Veli-Pekka Hentunen and Markku Nissinen.
New main telescope arrived and installed.
The new main telescope, Celestron C-14, of the Taurus Hill Observatory arrived 2.2.2009. The research team mounted the telescope in the same evening to the Paramount ME mount. Supernova SN 2009Q discovered at Taurus Hill Observatory.
Veli-Pekka Hentunen and Markku Nissinen made the first supernova discovery for the year 2009 30./31.1.2009 when they observed the supernova SN 2009Q in the galaxy UGC 9982. SN 2008ip photographed again by the Hentunen and Nissinen.
Here is a picture of the type II supernova SN 2008ip that is located in the galaxy NGC 4846. THO research team photographed this supernova 17.1.2009 with the CBVR filters and 12×5 min. exposure times. Observers: Veli-Pekka Hentunen and Markku Nissinen.

THO research team photographed supernova SN 2008ip 6./7.1.2008. This supernova was discovered 31.12.2008 and it is rare type II supernova. The brightness of the supernova was at the moment of the photographing 15.7R magnitudes. Observers: Veli-Pekka Hentunen and Markku Nissinen.
